As a member of the 45th District Democrats, you can vote on which candidates and ballot measures we will endorse. Those endorsements are then printed up in our endorsement guide, and distributed to thousands of households each year.

In addition, you can vote on our legislative agenda. 

Our top priorities include

  • more-affordable housing,
  • a fair and balanced tax system for Washington,
  • and an immigration system that protects civil liberties.

To become a member, you can pay dues either in recurring monthly amounts or a one-time annual amount. The advantage of monthly is that you don’t need to remember to renew.

Dues Make a Difference

Printing and mailing thousands of endorsement guides for distribution each year isn’t cheap. We sent 35,700 in 2024, but only 16,500 in 2025, because we had less money coming in. Most of your dues go toward these kinds of voter outreach expenses, from printing to parade entry fees to web hosting fees. And that outreach works! 73% of our endorsed candidates and campaigns won in 2025. Your dues also cover the basics to keep the lights on, like room rental and Zoom fees for our monthly meetings. We’re an entirely unpaid, volunteer-run organization. We count on dues and contributions from engaged citizens like you to fund the work necessary to get progressives elected.

To become a member, you need to either become a PCO, or pay dues as a member (or both!). You can choose to pay dues either monthly or annually. 

Monthly dues: $5 per month, or $4 per month for 21 and under

Annual dues: $60 per year, or $48 for 21 and under

Voting membership is restricted to district residents who are at least 16 years of age. If you are outside of our district or under 16 and would like to contribute, you can do so here.
