Here is the analysis by 45th Dems member Ken Albinger for how the four Voting Commissioner’s proposed legislative district maps would impact the cities currently part of the 45th LD.

Walkinshaw Draft for the 45th LD Redmond-Woodinville KC District Proposal

  • Redmond is united in the new 45th.
  • KC precincts north and east of Redmond remain in the new 45th.
  • Woodinville and east of Woodinville remain in the new 45th.
  • Kirkland is united and leaves the 45th for the new 48th.
  • Sammamish is united and leaves the 45th for the new 5th.
  • Duvall leaves the 45th to join the new 5th.

Sims Draft for the 45th LD   North Kirkland-North Redmond District Proposal

  • Kirkland remains split with the 48th, but more of Kirkland is in the new 45th.
  • Redmond remains split with the 48th.
  • All KC precincts north and east of Redmond remain in the new 45th.
  • Carnation and Stillwater rejoin the 45th.
  • Woodinville and east of Woodinville leave the 45th to join the new 1st LD.
