Help Our Schools — Sign Up For Phone Banking! (Special Election February 8, 2022)

Lake Washington and Northshore School Boards will both have ballot measures (school levies) on the February Special Election ballot.

We need phone bankers from the 45th LD to work alongside phone bankers from the 46th and 1st LDs to support these important levies. Help get the word out!  We will be making calls up to election day (February 8, 2022).

Overview

  • You will be are using Virtual Phone Banker (VBP). For an overview of VBP, watch these  tutorials.
  • You will need an Action ID to log in to VBP.  If you do not have an Action ID, watch the tutorials (above).
  • Once you have an Action ID, use the Appropriate VPB link (Northshore or Lake Washington – see below) to log in.
  • You can use your phone or computer to phone bank during the designated times listed below. 
  • You will be  given a phone number, a script to read, and a form to fill out for each call you make.
  • Once you log in, your first voter will appear with name and phone number.
  • Make the phone call: Read the provided script and fill in the requested information on the form.
  • It’s super easy! 

Zoom Phone Banking

Zoom phone banking allows you to work with a group.

  • You can phone bank with others on Zoom at designated dates and times (see below for sign up).
  • Your Zoom invite (link) will be sent to you the day before your scheduled phone banking session.
  • You will still use VBP, but you will be in a group on Zoom.
  • You can watch and listen to others make calls, and ask questions.
  • If a voter needs more info, there are people there to help. 
  • You won’t be on your own. Doing this work together is fun and easy! 
  • This is a good chance to meet fellow dedicated volunteers.
  • Having trouble signing in to VPB? No worries – just join the zoom event.  You can get help getting an Action ID once you join the zoom meeting.

Northshore Schools

Please commit to 2 shifts (2.5 hr. each) of phone banking.

Phone banking alone any time between 9:00 am and 8 pm. Click here

Zoom Phone banking shifts will be Every Monday and Thursday, 4:30 – 7:00 pm and Saturdays 10 am – 12:30 pm. You can sign up for these shifts here.

Once you are signed up, you will receive a Zoom link in your email the day before your shift. You will receive further instructions in the Zoom meeting room.
