"People will vote for Democratic candidates if we knock on their door, introduce ourselves, and tell them what we believe."
- Governor Howard Dean, Chair
Democratic National Committee
Of all of the things we do as American citizens perhaps nothing is more important than voting. But voting is more than just “pulling a lever” or “filling in ovals.” It’s about being involved and informed.
PCOs (precinct committee officers) are the bedrock of our “democratic” process. They are local leaders who represent their precincts to the Democratic Party and who represent the Democratic Party to the precinct.
To check out whether this is right for you, go to the King County Democratic website on Becoming a PCO. Don't miss the PCO Training tab which has a terrific explanation of what the opportunity entails.
There are over ninety active PCOs in the 45th Legislative District making up a core team of people dedicated to the values of the Democratic Party and the grassroots process of engaging their friends and neighbors. It’s a great group and we’d love to have you join us.
