"A small group of thoughtful people could change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.."
- Margaret Mead
Once the general business of the caucus is complete, each candidate for delegate will give a short (one minute or less, depending on the number of candidates) speech.
At the end of the speeches, all attendees vote. The votes are split evenly between male and female candidates to the extent possible. Once the voting is complete, the results will be tallied and those receiving the highest number of votes will be declared the delegates.
The voting process is then repeated for alternates.
The caucus cycle reaches the final stage on June 26th in Vancouver, Washington. Delegates elected at the Legislative District Caucuses will attend this meeting to approve the State Party Platform and gear up for the elections in August and November. More details are available at the State Party web site.
